Rainbow Harbor

Long Beach, CA

Rainbow Harbor establishes a vibrant waterfront identity for downtown Long Beach. Set within a maritime-inspired Southern California landscape, the 60 acre Harbor accommodates a variety of recreational and retail uses, as well as commercial boats of all types on its new pier and floating docks. In addition to providing an ideal setting for the new Aquarium of the Pacific, the Harbor serves as an important nexus for nearby attractions, including Pine Avenue, the Convention Center, the Queen Mary, and the future Tidelands retail/entertainment district. Primary emphasis at the Harbor is given to activity on the water, and a celebratory “ship’s deck” esplanade ties together a diverse array of outdoor spaces along the water’s edge. Rainbow Harbor is the first phase of EE&K’s fully-entitled Master Plan for the entire Queensway Bay area.
